Dr. Carrasco graduated from Southern Nazarene University with a degree in biochemistry. He completed his medical degree at Texas Tech University and his residency training at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. He is board certified in general surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Carrasco is Chief of Surgery at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Plano. He is currently serving as medical director of a surgery center and has also served in many leadership roles on the credentials committee, peer review committee, and medical executive committee. Dr. Carrasco specializes in advanced techniques in minimally invasive surgery including robotic surgery. He is a member of the Trauma Team of surgeons at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Plano. He has been chosen by his peers as one of D Magazine’s Best Doctors in Collin County for 2012. He is very active in his church, Gateway, where he serves as an Elder. He is happily married to his wife Angela, and they have one amazing son, Isaiah.
